Caroline McKendrick-Gibson

Caroline’s interest in the paranormal started from an early age after having personal experiences that she couldn’t explain. This has led to her trying to find answers for herself, and to founding her Somerset Paranormal Group.
Caroline is an avid supporter of research and scientific approaches during investigations.
Caroline is a non academic Paranormal Investigator that is based in Somerset in the UK. She brings years of experience from her previous roles in Government and Public Sector, to assist with her field work, research and investigations.
Caroline is the lead investigator and case handler for the group she runs in Somerset – Somerset Paranormal Investigators UK (SPI UK). She currently has 6 team members apart from herself, all of which bring an individual expertise to the team.
Caroline previously sat within the Association for Scientific Studies into Anomalous Phenomena, (ASSAP) executive. She was the National register of Paranormal investigators, (NRPI) Officer, and Spontaneous Case Handler for ASSAP. She was Research Officer and currently still contributes as the Webinar Officer and hosts weekly Webinar podcasts with her co host Kristian Lander, for the platform Seriously Strange.
Caroline, along with her husband Martin Gibson and Kristian Lander, co host the new podcast “The Unearthly Bureau”, where they cover hot topics and deep dive into the paranormal, anomalous, and all things Fortean, asking those hard hitting questions.
Caroline is also a published International Writer, sharing thought provoking paranormal articles, and paranormal story articles with historical and heritage research to support the information that she supplies.
Caroline also uses her research skills working for production companies for tv series and documentaries.
Martin Gibson

Martin has had a healthy interest in the Paranormal world from childhood. He had an experience as a child, whilst in the company of his Mother and Sister, but he just couldn’t explain what they all felt. This sparked an interest in him to learn more and to try to find answers.
Martin joined the group in 2018, and has been on a steep learning curve since then.
Martin’s work experience, (in the MH Psychotherapy sector), allows him to bring a grounded level headed approach to the team. He uses his questioning skills during investigations to analyse any experiences or captures that the team get, trying to find reasonable explanations. He also has incredible people skills when dealing with vulnerable people in private cases.
Martin is also an internationally published writer and researcher, bringing his knowledge and insight of psychotherapy into understanding of human dynamics of people dealing with anomalous phenomena in cases.
Martin also uses his research skills working for production companies for tv series and documentaries.

John Ingram

John is a non academic investigator, who got involved in paranormal investigations due to personal experiences and is keen to search for the same answer all paranormal investigators do.
John Is skeptical by nature, utilising previous inquisitive roles within the public sector employments.
He has been on the paranormal journey for quite a few years now and has gone through a vast array of techniques in the quest to try and prove the existence of life beyond the physical.
He is always keen to listen and learn from others, and has healthy debates in an adult manner.
Carron Richards

Carron has been interested in the paranormal for a long time, and has taken interest in learning about well known and local hauntings. Carron particularly enjoys visiting old buildings, especially when she knows the history.
Her interest in the paranormal has led her to joining SPI UK in 2020, in the hope of finding answers to explain the unexplainable. Since being part of SPI UK Carron has experienced some very interesting and unexplainable things.
Being fairly new into the paranormal investigating world, she is always keen to learn and loves being part of this team.
Becky MacMillan-Adams

Becky has been interested in the paranormal from an early age after seeing ghostly figures in her childhood home in Kent, along with other unexplainable sightings and experiences over the years, many of which have been in Somerset.
These have led her to wanting to learn more and find answers in the paranormal world.
She particularly likes visiting the old buildings as she has done from a young child and enjoys finding out the history, especially after the team have managed to collect some evidence.
Becky is fairly new to the team, she was taken on as team photographer at the end of 2024 after spending a few years investigating with the team as part of the SPIUK extended family, she loves investigating with the team and capturing interesting moments and memories.
She has already had some of her photography published the famous internationally distributed Haunted magazine, which she is very proud of.
She always looks forward to the next investigation and learning more about the equipment and scientific investigating techniques that the team use.
